“हदीस, इस्लामी रिवायत में, नबी मुहम्मद (सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम) के बयानात, अमाल और मंज़ूरियों का मजमूआ है। ये इस्लाम के बुनियादी ज़रायअ में से एक हैं, क़ुरान के बाद। अहादीस में नबी के ज़िंदगी की वाक़ियात, उन के नसायेह और उन की तरफ़ से दिए गए हिदायात शामिल हैं। ये मुसलमानों के लिए रहनुमाई का अहम ज़रीआ हैं।”
