اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَخِيرُكَ بِعِلْمِكَ، وَأَسْتَغْفِرُكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْعَظِيمِ، فَإِنَّكَ تَقْدِرُ وَلَا أَقْدِرُ، وَتَعْلَمُ وَلَا أَعْلَمُ، وَأَنْتَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ. اللَّهُمَّ إِن كُنتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ خَيْرٌ لِّي فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي، أَوْ أَنَّهُ شَرٌّ لِّي فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي، فَاقْدُرْهُ لِي وَيَسِّرْهُ لِي ثُمَّ بَارِكْ لِي فِيهِ، وَإِن كُنتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ شَرٌّ لِّي فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي، فَصُرْفْهُ عَنِّي وَصُرْفْنِي عَنْهُ، وَاقْدُرْ لِي الْخَيْرَ حَيْثُ كَانَ، ثُمَّ أَرْضِنِي.

“O Allah, I seek Your guidance through Your knowledge, and I seek Your assistance through Your power, and I ask You for Your immense favor, for indeed, You have power and I do not, and You know and I do not, and You are the Knower of the unseen.
O Allah, if You know that this matter (mention the matter) is good for me in my religion, my livelihood, and the outcome of my affairs, then ordain it for me, facilitate it for me, and bless me in it. And if You know that this matter is bad for me in my religion, my livelihood, and the outcome of my affairs, then turn it away from me and turn me away from it, and ordain for me what is good wherever it may be, and make me pleased with it.”

“ए अल्लाह, मैं आपके इल्म के ज़रिये से आपकी रहनुमाई मांगता हूं, और आपकी ताक़त के ज़रिये से मदद चाहता हूं, और मैं आपके बड़े फज़ल का सवाल करता हूँ, बेशक आप ताक़त रखते हैं, और मैं नहीं रखता. और आप जानते हैं और मैं नहीं जानता, और आप ग़ैब का जान्ने वाले हैं.
ए अल्लाह, अगर आप जानते हैं के ये मुआमला (अपने मुआमले/काम का ज़िकर करें) मेरे दीन, मेरे मुआश (काम), और मेरे उमुर के नतीजे में मेरे लिए इसे मेरे लिए मुक़द्दर फरमायें, मेरे लिए आसान करें, और उसमे बरकत दें, और अगर आप जानते हैं के ये मुआमला मेरे दीन , मेरे मुआश (कारोबार/व्यापर) और मेरे उमूर के नतीजे में मेरे लिए बुरा है तो उसे मुझ से दूर करें और मुझे उससे दूर करें, और मेरे लिए जहां भी खैर और भलाई हो उसे मुक़द्दर करें, और मुझे उस पर राज़ी करें.”

अल्लाह की रेहमत और मर्ज़ी : यह दुआ पढ़कर आप अल्लाह की रज़ा (मर्ज़ी) की मांग करते हैं, यानी आप चाहते हैं कि आपका निर्णय(फैसला) अल्लाह के हुक्म के मुताबिक हो।
